What is Builder Gel?
Builder gel or Builder In A Bottle (BIAB) has a thicker consistency than regular gel polish and has self-levelling property to achieve strong nails with a smooth and natural finish.
When used on its own, short extensions can be created. Regular or gel tips can also be used to create long nails.
The good
Builder gel is long-lasting and highly resistant to chips without the bulk of acrylic nails. It can be sculpted to produce a variety of custom shapes and extended to create short extensions.
It creates the structure needed to protect and strengthen natural nails, preventing them from bending, cracking, or lifting. The rigid structure also discourages the habit of nail-biting, as it is difficult to chew through.
Its self-levelling property makes it easy to achieve a smooth and even finish.
It supports infilling, which avoids the need for full removal and re-application.

Application time is long, taking about 1 to 1.5 hours.
It is moderately difficult to remove, requiring a soak-off using acetone followed by filing.
How long does it last?
2 to 3 weeks.
